A Tribute to Tim Lander

Tim Lander’s family and Wordstorm Society of the Arts invite you to join in celebrating the life and poetry of Tim Lander --

• Share your memories or a poem about Tim

• Take part in reading from Tim’s poetry collections

• Tim’s poetry books can be purchased by donation  (all proceeds will go to help support Risebridge, Nanaimo)

Stay for a workshop lead by Kristjanne Vosper from 2:30 to 4 pm where you'll learn to create your own handcrafted poetry chapbooks!

Untangle the puzzle of the self-published poetry chap-book. Participants will draw from a selection of Tim Lander’s poetry to collaborate on a group piece in the tradition of the Italian cento. Come get inky & a little bit sticky as we assemble an original work inspired by the many volumes created and freely distributed by a legendary and iconic master of Canadian poetry!

Kristjanne Vosper is a multi-dimensional audio-visual artist who has self-published with photocopiers and glue sticks since the 1990s. Her scrappy, anyone-can-do-it attitude towards art and music is apparent in her output — reams of cut-n-paste zines, plywood-scrap canvases, wheatpasted poster installations, thrifted silkscreens, public performance, and self-released cassettes and vinyl.  She is so pleased to be part of honouring Tim Lander, truly an inspiration to the value & beauty of living Art.
